The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) in Washington, DC engaged EBA to develop the VA Community Living Center (CLC) Design Guide. The purpose of the Design Guide is to illustrate the concepts, principles, and practices to be utilized as guidelines for well-designed, resident focused facilities that enhance the healing environment and quality of service to Veterans at VA CLCs and State Veterans Homes across the country. The development and refinement of the criteria presented by the EBA team necessitated research, interviews with health care professionals, and analysis of best practices. EBA’s performance on the development of the Design Guide has been recognized by the VA and designers nationally.
